Conference Proceedings and Papers

To provide further ways and opportunities for academics, students and less experienced researchers to publish their research, the INCU occasionally publishes Conference Proceedings as well as individual research papers presented at INCU conferences.

Proceedings of the Inaugural INCU Global Conference 2014

The INCU is pleased to announce the release of the Proceedings of the Inaugural INCU Global Conference 2014. The conference was held from 21 to 23 May 2014 in Baku, Azerbaijan with the theme “Trade Facilitation Post-Bali: Putting Policy Into Practice”.

The Conference Proceedings is a peer-reviewed publication that contains and a collection of some 35 peer-reviewed papers by prominent academics and professionals in the field of Customs and international trade, as well as papers by younger researchers and students, the opening address by the WTO Director-General, Roberto Azevedo, speeches of Directors-General of Azerbaijan Customs and Brazil Customs, a book launch address by INCU Advisory Board Member and Honorary Fellow, Dr Lars Karlsson, a keynote address by the Assistant Secretary of International Affairs and Chief Diplomatic Officer of the US Department of Homeland Security, Dr Alan D. Bersin, presentations by three Nobel Prize Laureates in Economics, as well as other supplementary conference materials.

Papers from the INCU International Student Conference 2017

This publication contains papers and reports from the 2nd International Student Conference on Contemporary Issues and Challenges in Customs Management” held from 3 to 7 July 2017 in Gusar, Azerbaijan. In general, materials cover the problems of customs administration and international trade under modern conditions including aspects of international cooperation between government agencies and the private sector. The publication is intended for the use of customs officers, researchers, teachers and students studying in the field of customs and international trade.

Students’ Reflections on the PICARD Conference 2015

The 2015 PICARD Conference was attended by a number of students including students from the University of Customs and Finance, of Ukraine. The students have provided their reflections and thoughts about their experiences at the Conference, which have been complied into a booklet titled Student’s Reflections on the PICARD Conference 2015.
