Established to promote the academic standing of the Customs profession across the world, the INCU is committed to progressively expanding its global network and advancing the collective interests of its members and affiliates.
In general, the INCU membership is available to any natural person or organisation with an active interest in customs-related activities; however, different membership categories have different eligibility criteria, annual fees and benefits, which are set out below.
Individuals, academic institutions and other organisations that are actively involved or have an active interest in customs matters are encouraged to join INCU!

Eligibility to nominate or be nominated for election as an office-bearer or member of the INCU Management Committee or Advisory Board 19. | Young/Student Member | This category of membership is available only to full-time students and persons under 25 years of age. |
| Affiliate Academic Institution | This category of membership is available only to “academic institutions” such as universities, research centres, colleges, customs academies, professional training institutes and other educational and research institutions. |
| Affiliate Non-Academic Institution | This category of membership is available to any organisation that does not fit the definition of “academic institutions” such as private sector companies, government agencies and international and regional organisations. |
