INCU Advisory Board Member, Mr Lars Karlsson and Head of Secretariat, Dr Mikhail Kashubsky, participated in the official opening of the 23rd Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition 2016, which opened on 1 June 2016 at Baku Expo Centre in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The status of the exhibition was recognised by the participation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev who addressed the participants. Among the VIP guests of the exhibition were Baroness Emma Nicholson of Winterborne; Deputy Minister of Energy of Georgia Mariam Valishvili; and Deputy Assistant Secretary of the US Department of Commerce, Mr Robin Dunnigan.
The International Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition is the most significant event for the energy sector in the Caspian region, which is supported by the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), with organisational assistance from ITECA Caspian and ITE Group. This year, representatives of 240 organisations from over 30 countries participated in the exhibition.
