On 19 June 2017, Head of INCU Secretariat, Dr Mikhail Kashubsky visited the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing, China. UIBE is a long-standing member of the INCU and at the invitation of Head of Customs Administration Department, Dr David Xu, Dr Kashubsky visited UIBE campus and delivered a speech as part of the UIBE international seminar series.
Dr Kashubsky provided an overview of the INCU and its recent activities to the faculty members of the UIBE Department of Customs Administration, highlighted potential way how UIBE and its students get more actively involved the activities of INCU, and explained in detail the process of the WCO accreditation of university customs curriculum under the PICARD Standards.
In turn, Dr Xu provided a brief update on the UIBE’s recent activities in the field of Customs research and education including the recent launch of the Master of Customs Administration degree.
