Biographical Info Founded in 1959 on the original site of the first Calexico High School, SDSU-IV offers 12 bachelor’s and five master’s degrees, including a nationally-acclaimed teacher education program. With fewer than a thousand students, SDSU-IV provides a uniquely intimate educational experience. Due to its proximity to the Mexican border, the campus serves a diverse student body comprised largely of groups that are historically under-represented in higher education. Given its regional focus, responsive curriculum and community engagement, the IV Campus has become a powerful engine of economic growth for the region. The Imperial County Office of Education that offers Imperial Valley students accessible, affordable, high quality education with a clear path to a Bachelor’s degree in four years.
