Biographical Info The Center for International Trade & Security (CITS) was established in 1987 with the support of former U.S. Secretary of State Dean Rusk, and since its founding, has advised policymakers across the globe on issues pertaining to trade and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. While CITS has broadened its scope to include human security, energy policy, and other issues from the changing landscape of contemporary security, the effective and innovative management of strategic trade remains central to the CITS mission.
