Oksana Zolotarova
Biographical Info Dr. Oksana Zolotarova is an Associate Professor in commodity science and customs affairs at the State University of Trade and Economics in Kyiv, Ukraine. She is also a researcher at the Center for Research on Customs Policy and Customs Affairs in Kyiv and an Associate Member of the Brussels Center for Competition Policy in Belgium. In her academic role, Dr. Zolotarova has contributed to developing and implementing a 1.5-year innovative educational Master’s program in customs affairs, addressing skill gaps in the field. She holds a Candidate of Engineering Sciences Degree (2018) and an Advanced Master’s degree in European Integration from the Brussels School of Governance (2023). Currently, she is a researcher on the EU-funded project "EU AEO Program: Implementation in Ukraine" (Project Code: 101085558 – EUAEOUA – ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH), which runs from November 1, 2022, to October 31, 2025. Her research interests include customs system reform in the context of European integration, the classification of goods in international trade (HS-Ukraine), implementation of the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) program in Ukraine, customs security, administration of customs authorities' activities, and the role of customs in promoting a circular economy through green customs practices. Dr. Zolotarova is actively engaged in interdisciplinary research and publishing scholarly articles.
