Biographical Info National University Odessa Law Academy (NU OLA) is a leading Ukrainian university. Its history is traced back to the beginning of the XIX century. Main field of activities of the University: educational, methodological and research activity; international cooperation. The main subject areas covered by education and research are law, political science, intellectual property, consolidated information, public services. There are about 15 thousand students at 3 institutions and 12 faculties. The Department of Customs and Maritime Law of NU OLA was established in 1996. The Department provides the following courses: Customs Law; International Customs Law; Information Law; Maritime Law; Seaport Regulations; Admiralty Law; Transport Law; Customs Law of the European Union; EU Customs and Tax Law; Maritime Private Law; Customs Control Arrangement; Transport Law of the European Law. From 2016 NU OLA publishes law scientific journal “Lex Portus”. Lex Portus is an Open Access law scientific journal, which publishes original research articles and reviews in the areas of Maritime and Transport Law, International Trade, Customs and Tax Law, Border Management, Globalization and Europeanization of Administrative Law.
