National Customs Service of Chile

Biographical Info The history of the National Customs Service begins in colonial times, when Queen Isabel of Castile established the so-called Casa de Contratación de Sevilla, in 1503. The National Customs Service fulfills key functions for the development of the country, having a preponderant role in foreign trade, especially in facilitating and expediting import and export operations, through the simplification of customs procedures and processes. Likewise, it must safeguard the interests of the State and citizens, supervising said operations, in a timely and accurate manner, determining the rights and taxes linked to them and verifying that goods that can be considered dangerous are not allowed into our country.
