Biographical Info The Centre for Customs and Excise Studies at Charles Sturt University is the world’s leading provider of training, education and research in the highly specialised areas of customs, excise and border management. Its international leadership role has grown progressively over the past two decades, during which time the CCES has worked closely with the World Customs Organization to raise the academic standing of the customs profession. Among other things, this has resulted in the establishment of the WCO Professional Standards, the International Network of Customs Universities and our flagship academic publication, the World Customs Journal.
